Oleksandr Usyk has established himself as the best heavyweight of this current generation but the Ukrainian great believes there is another man who ranks above everybody else as the best of all time.
Usyk has defeated all comers throughout his illustrious career, first becoming undisputed at cruiserweight before stepping up to the banner division and becoming undisputed heavyweight champion twice.
He has beaten Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois all on two occasions each, and as of yet nobody has looked to come considerably close to handing the 39-year-old his first professional loss.
The achievements of Usyk means there is often a debate about how he would have fared against heavyweights from other eras, with fans regularly discussing fantasy match-ups against the likes of Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield.
It is another boxing icon that Usyk would seemingly give himself no chance of overcoming though, after he revealed to Mail Sport Boxing exactly what he thinks of Muhammad Ali.
“GOAT.”
Ali is arguably the biggest name in boxing history, having transcended the sport throughout the 1960s and 1970s for his actions both inside and outside of the ring.
He was a three-time world heavyweight champion, claiming wins in historic battles such as the ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ against George Foreman, and the ‘Thrilla In Manila’ against Joe Frazier.
Usyk isn’t the only heavyweight legend to declare Ali as the best in the division’s history, with Mike Tyson also sharing the belief that nobody comes close to ‘The Greatest.’
