O’Shaquie Foster took his feud with Richardson Hitchins to another level this week, accusing the former IBF junior welterweight champion of being afraid to spar and questioning his toughness during a long interview ahead of Foster’s May 30 title defense against Raymond Ford.
Foster unloaded on Hitchins today, claiming people in boxing have questioned Hitchins’ mentality for years.
“Hitchins is scary as hell. I been knowing that. That’s been the word in boxing,” Foster said to Sean Zittel’s YouTube site. “They had to pump him up with certain sparring sessions. He know what I’m talking about. They had to put a key in his back to go spar and stuff like that.”
Foster then brought up Hitchins pulling out of his scheduled February fight against Oscar Duarte on the day of the contest.
“He got a heart problem. Not a physical heart problem. He just ain’t got no heart. You see what he did with Duarte? Why I’m worried about Hitchins? He scary like that,” Foster said.
Hitchins later answered Foster on X with a short response of his own.
“I got way more heart than this pussy alien in the face ass n****.”
The latest exchange comes only hours after Foster mocked Hitchins over his Olympic path and his past links to Subriel Matias.
Foster accused Hitchins of failing to make the U.S. Olympic team before later representing Haiti at the 2016 Olympics. Hitchins previously lost in the American selection process to Gary Antuanne Russell before qualifying internationally for Haiti through an Olympic qualifier.
The back-and-forth has added unexpected heat to a quiet week in boxing, especially because the two fighters are not even campaigning in the same division. Foster holds a world title at 130 pounds, while Hitchins recently captured a belt at 140.
Still, both fighters come from the New York boxing scene, know each other’s amateur history, and now appear fully invested in turning a social media argument into something much more personal.
